Civil Infrastructure Group, established in 2016, is recognized for our specialization in subcontracting services in the construction of reinforced and post-tension concrete structures. We pride ourselves on our involvement in major projects such as the West Gate Tunnel and the majority of Level Crossing Removal Projects. As we continue to grow and embark on new ventures, we are currently seeking a skilled Precast Detailer to join our team.

As a Precast Detailer, you will play a critical role in creating detailed shop drawings for precast concrete structures, ensuring that designs meet industry standards and building codes. You will collaborate with engineers and team members, review and update drawings, maintain detailed records, and help ensure that project timelines and budgets are met.

Requirements

  • Experience with AutoCAD software and Tekla Structures.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards related to precast concrete construction.
  • Experience with other software such as BIM, 3D modelling, and Microsoft Office suite.

Will be responsible for:

  • Create detailed shop drawings for precast concrete structures, such as Precast bridge elements and retaining wall panels, using Tekla as the main software and AutoCAD when required.
  • Communicate with engineers and other team members to ensure that designs are accurate and meet building codes and standards.
  • Review and update drawings as needed
  • Ensure project timelines and budgets are met and address any issues that emerge.
  • Keep records of all drawings and design changes and ensure they are appropriately filed and stored.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, building codes, and technological advances correlated to precast concrete construction.
  • Assist in the preparation of submittals, RFI’s and change orders.
  • Communicate with project managers, superintendents and forepersons regarding design and fabrication issues.
  • Assist in preparing fabrication and erection drawings and working with the production team to ensure that the precast components are fabricated and erected according to the design.
  • Accurate reinforcement detailing
